Hey everyone, longtime fish keeper, newbie member here.
I would randomly end up here once in awhile during my researching and just think this is such a great community. Ultimately I joined because I thought it was only appropriate to share my experiences as all of you have with me and countless others.

So here it goes.
I have a 75G brackish set up. Fake Plants, real rocks.
Salinity @ 1.010
2x AquaClear 70
2x AquaClear 20
1x Fluval Underwater 3Plus - Am I overfiltering?
Bubbler

3 Mono Sebaes (Biggest one is about 4" and the other two are about 3"), I had these guys since little frys over a year ago.

1 "Freshwater" Moray Eel, now over a foot long and about the thickness of my thumb.

And the latest member of the family, a 7" Gator Gar, blind no eyes, but it's as if his other senses are heightened.

Here are some pics because I know you guys love pics as much as I do, and what's a post without pics!

If you look closely, you can see the eel peeking out the bottom of the cave.
It's hard to get a pic of this guy unless he's eating.

Well that's my first official post. Let me know what you guys think and anything I can improve on. I'm currently in the process of picking up and setting up a 220G with 3 canister filters. Just not sure what kind of set-up of fish I might house in there. I'm not the type to jump into things without the proper research and if my heart's not 110% into it.

First of all, let me salute you on your effort on taking care of a blind gator.

However that being said, a gator is still a gator and a 75 is too small to house it for life. :)

Thanks, the mono's were the first ones ever in the tank. These guys have alot of personality and I really love the way they move.

Joo, I appreciate the comment and am preparing for when the gar is about to outgrow this tank. I'm picking up a 220G and will definitely be moving him there. Even though he's blind it amazes me how he hunts and prays the feeders. The first thing he did when I put him into the tank was swim around getting a feel of the space, feeling everything with his snout. Now he swims freely without hitting anything as if it wasn't even blind. After a week or so, I got him to eat on pellets too.
