Blind Oscar

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They look fine. He just isn't acting normal at all. I can put feeders in and he just acts like he don't care. justs swims past. He also bumps into things all the time. Not like they do when they are scratching, like from ich. but runs straight into things with his nose. Thanks Sean

My oscars swim violently and run into things some times too. My red oscar jumped out of the water one night, I looked and he was gone, how could you miss an oscar? Well I looked on the floor and could not see him, he ended up about 15 feet away, picked him up with a wet paper towel, his eyes were cloudy for a couple of days, after that he sees fine, and he is the number one jumper when it comes to feeding time, guess he will never learn?

My one albino oscar has a hard time seeing his food. He misses when he tries to take food from my hand and always bumps into things. His eyes look different that the other oscars.

Has anyone heard of an oscar going blind. got one that has started bumping into everything in the tank. Not slamming like it is scratching, but running into things with his nose. Any help appriciated. Sean

Hi there, is it an albino oscar or an albino tiger oscar? ALbino strains of any animal can have problems with blindness/Deafness,

my freinds white / albino cat went blind and deaf :(
