or trade. I would love to trade for a 7" or larger male Dovii, Umbee, Haitiensis.
The catfish grows weekly; and stays hungry. I just do not have the room to house this monster. Currently he is housed with an 8" Barred Midas. However,
he has eaten a 5" female RD AND A 5" Barred Midas female. I believe he ook
the 2 5" females for large feeders; and being blind, he will eat whatever fits into his mouth. Thanks in advance.

Just curious...is it blind with eyes, or just missing eyes (that's if that qualifies as being blind). Sorry, just curious b/c I just realized recently that my aro is blind (with eyes).

Frontosas,
My RTC is blind with no eyes. I truly did not pay attention to that when
I purchased him. I am not sure if he was born like that or whether my Barred Midas did it. Thanks for inquiring. I have also considered keeping him because everyone says he is an excellent specimen. I would love to see just how large they really grow.

it could be the red devil that did that. I had a small tank with a flowerhorn and a small tsn and one day I noticed that the eyes were missing on my catfish and I was mad.

haha funny i stumble across this post because just today at the lfs i saw a 3" or so ryukin wodering around the tank and the guy said its not the first time, but that the larger koi were suckin 'em right out. So as they say there he was turned into "pirhana food". And me and a buddy got to see him shredded by a pair of gold p's i think. And we were on ou rway out, yea right.

Has anyone ever fed their large RTC a small mouse?
I was telling an employee at the lfs that it is difficult keeping
my redtails appetite satisfied. He constantly glides around
searching for food. Would a small mouse be ok? Waiting for replies.
Thanks all.
