About a month ago I aquired a 4 inch, blind rtc. He eats frozen krill, bloodworms, and nls. His tail isn't red yet but he's growing like a weed.rtc still in a pot.JPGrtc in a pot.JPGrtc under log.JPG Sorry, crappy pics.

Nice rescue. I love these cats but when they blind it makes them more interesting. Good luck.

Unfortunately, since he's bind I need to put his food right in front of him or feed him by hand. It's a real pain because I need to get my whole arm in the tank and I'm not very fond of getting my arm soaked in fish water.

Really? I never had that problem with my blind tsn. He was a beast when I came to hunting for for food. It's hard to see in the video cause it was so dark and I was trying to feed and record at the same time.

In his old tank a gar bit some of his wiskers of so he can't find food more than 6 inches away from him.

That's odd my rtc now has two barbs missing and he has no problem smelling food even across the tank. His barbels were stepped on n pulled off by my nephew when I was bringing it home.

I too find it strange your RTC struggles to find food. It should not at all. The eye sight is not needed for him to find food as they live in deep, light-less, muddy waters. Barbels grow back. I am thinking you are either not giving him a chance or overfeeding him. Doomedee's thread should be helpful to you: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...9-My-14-quot-blind-tsn-rescue&highlight=blind

I found that odd too. After owning that blind cat i agree it shouldn't have a problem finding food. unless its sick or over feed.

When I got him his whiskers where all chewed back, now that they've grown back he eats fine.
