Blind Tetras

just got 3 blind tetras yesterday. how do i tell the difference between male and female, stomach size? also, wat should i feed them, i heard prepared foods, and i threw some stuff in, they wont even go for it, they just go flying around the tank going balistic as soon as the food starts sinking. also, wat should i feed my flounder that i got also?

I assume by blind tetra you mean the mexican tetra commonly sold as the blind cave tetra? it's really hard to tell the difference between males and females of the mexican tetra. as for feeding, since they can't see they kinda just swim around until food hits them in the face. they are very good eaters though and will eat anything they can find. definitely not recommended for a community tank. Mine loved to eat ghost shrimp.
 
Much different from what I've experienced. I had a school of Cave Tetras, about 15 if I remember correctly. They'd snatch up flake food like they had eyes, and they'd eat just like every other small tetra did. I found they really like bloodworms and Daphnia. Mine also liked to eat very very small parts of TetraCichlid's Cichlid Sticks.

ya, i meant blind cave tetra, i just forgot the word cave, lol. seriously though, its like the sense the food, they just go crazy, they like start crashing into plants and all that, but they dont find the food
