i kno this is not normal, but is it frm h20 condition or frm nipping @ each other.i hope the pix help.if not, well the tips of there fins are shredded jus the tips. thanx.

multipule young aros together will nip and fight...my aros fins get that way after a fight...my black just lost its whole tail from a fight...i have noticed that blacks tend to be more nippy then silvers...silvers just go for the kill if they are going to fight...

Yeah, it's just fin nipping. If it was fin rot, the overall appearance of the fish would look a lot worse.

it wont kill them will it? >.<; i mean they wont kill each other if they fin nip? i have two blacks about 6 inches together and it looks the same for their fins...

is there anyway to prevent fin nips other than separating them?

if they fight enough one will kill the other one...seperation is the only cure...they may stop later or they may get worse...
