Can anybody tell me how rare are black diamond rays? How much do they usually cost? I dont see them for sale online ever! I was also wondering if they require more specific/specialized care than most other rays?

Any additional info specific to black diamonds also welcomed!!! :)

:stingray:

hi bro,

What T1KARMANN's replied is true.....they are quite rare and we seldom get to see them in the market......Even hobbists in SIN also don't really get to see them. So far I have only came across 5pcs....Thats all! after that, i have not seen any of them available in the SIN market again.....

As for the price tag, it is priced the same as PEARL.....

that ray looks familar rich.
They change a lot as they grow, EZ's only looks young & will probably develop the groups of tiny spots as it grows

Thanks for your compliment Rich.

Btw since the day i got mine when it was a 6", it has never changed at all.....Till today, the fellow is already 11"+ but the spots are still the same since day 1 and it has never form any new marking at all.......

But some of the "so called" BD in the market are so different. During their growing stage, they starts to form alot of markings on its disc .....and in the end, it looks like a LEO with lots of messy DOTs........

Correct me if i m wrong! :D

What do u mean by so called BD?
BD's are not hard to miss identify, how many other leopolid have henlei like spotting on their underside?

Leo's are not that rare. P14's are (aka Itaituba). Leo's are seasonal. They come in more often than the P14s. :) I'd rather spend my money on P14's when they come in, than Leos. But if leos become affordable, I might get some.

i to like my p14s better than a normal leopldi but i have had a BD and their is something about them :D

they are just sooooooo much more class than a normal leo :D

the BDs disk is blacker and the spots are whiter than a normal leo and yes they do have spots on the underside of the disk like a henlei but a normal leo wont have that

i would sell of my p14s if i could find a BD as nice as EZs (not realy :D )
