Hi. I have a 4" ebjd and a 4" royal plec. Over the last few days the ebjd has stopped eating and it's belly has swollen slightly. My plec usually has a fat belly but on closer inspection it looks a bit bigger than usual. Does this sound like bloat and does anyone know of the best way to treat it.
Thanks

Be safe and dose the tank with epsom salts. What I always do anyways.

Bloat which a symptom rather than a disease(many things can cause bloat). It could be parasitic, a constipated fish or a internal bacterial infection. I'm leaning towards a internal bacterial infection as both fish are affected.

Hi. I've treated the tank with Epsom salts but the swelling seems to be getting worse. I really don't want to lose these fish, had them for about 7 months when they were both an inch. I've been reading up on metronidazole and have managed to acquire some. I think it may be internal parasites. Has any of you any experience in using this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Got home today to a dead ebjd! The plec seems ok but have not put any food in while treating with the Epsom salt. I've noticed tiny white worms on the tank glass today. Anybody any ideas what they are and what's the next best step. Really could do with some help here.
