Ok this is the first time I have ever had this problem. I am losing one discus to who knows what and my big 6"+ male has bloat. His stomach is huge and I don't know what to do? Will melafix work? HELP!!!

Thanks. You don't think the salt will hurt discus? They are too expensive as adults to take chances but it would be an expensive loss too. I have a pic of the one that is just straight dying and not showing any signs of anything and the one with the bloat in my gallery. It won't let me post them to the thread.
Ok time for an update. I went to every store that has anything for pets since my shipment wasn't here yet(wal-mart-to appease the gf, petco, petdepot, countrymax) none of which carry metronidazole. So I got jungle buddies parasite clear because metronidazole is an active ingredient. Today is the second day he has been in the 10 gallon hospital tank and his bloat is just about gone. Thanks for the link haynchinook. In 18 years of fish keeping that was the first time I have ever seen bloat in any of my fish and he survived.
