Can honestly say in 25 years of keeping fish I’ve never dealt with bloat. Got home last night and my largest male dovii (-bout 4.5-5 inches) looked like a pufferfish it was so swollen. Not eating either. Other 9 dovii in the 370 look normal and are eating.

I took the male out and put him in a 75 gallon for quarantine. I added Maracyn and ParaCleanse.

my thought is the cause could be constipation from feeding freeze dried krill every morning(I always presoak it for 10 minutes). It could also be a bacteria or parasite I introduced bc I’m quarantining some wild caught green sunfish and maybe I didn’t wash my hands good.

Anything else I should be doing!? Thanks in advance.

Add some epsom salt 1 tbsp per 5g.
I added the salt. I guess we’ll see. What’s the chance of recovery with something like this? Are my other fish going to get bloat? Should I do anything to the main tank?

Hard to say. Bloat recovery isn’t too well from what I’ve seen. I’d leave the main tank alone if the fish are doing well. See how it goes.

Bloat is often the result of some kind of stress, compromising the immune system, and allowing normally non-threatening bacteria to become infective.
I doubt it is the food, and if water parameters are good, it is more likely that that individual was at the low end of the pecking order..
Back in 2008 I bought a bag of 10 juvie dovii at my local aquarium club auction for $2.
As expected, within 6 months the hierarchal result of the normal pecking orders attrition had reduced numbers from the 10, to 2.
