Bloated flowerhorn

Hello, I joined to try and get some information if any of you could help me out.
We’ve had frank a while now, but recently his belly has bulged more than normal and seems to be constipated. He’s been like this for a couple of week now. He’s still active and will eat if you offer him food. He just doesn’t poo. I’ve not fed him any pelletsfor a week just peas to try and help him but to no avail. Any ideas? Thankyou in advance.

Could be constipation/dystopia from food/eggs. Would add some Epsom salt 1tbsp per 5g for now. Watch the poop.

Thankyou for your reply. I’ve done a salt bath with epsom salt didn’t help much I don’t think. Is it ok to put Epsom salt into his main tank? And how long can it be in there? Thanks.

Stop feeding him with the salt... give him about a week

Hi I put in his salt figures it out at about 8 grams for 150 litres? Or is that too little? He’s still bloated not pooped yet. He’s dark and his kok’s inflating too now. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

He is still bloated he’s pooped a few times but doesn’t seem to have lost any of the bloat really. Thinking it maybe swimbladder? His tails lifting up to the top of the water. I’ve ordered a needle to try and release it that way. Unless you have any other suggestions? Thankyou for asking!
