Bloated Indo Datnoid

Ok so my Indo Dat has some sort of bloat???? I feed my Dat hikari Carnivore, Hikari gold(if it is really hungry) and everynow and then frozen silversides.So today in the afternoon i fed him chopped up silversides, and he was kinda bulky after the feeding.Then there was some leftovers on the bottom(I thought no big deal sense the bichirs would eat the leftovers). I checked on him earlier his belly went away kinda. Now he is very bloated. and kinda swimming funny. I think he ate all the left overs but i dont know. Sorry for inconvenience this is my first dat and i dont wanna lose him....I got him in a trade...

Did he lie on his side like he had eaten too much because mine do that,hope he gets better.

First of all stop feeding it. Give it a couple of days and if it doesn't go away then you know it's bloat and I would recommend epson salt . Either way make sure you keep up the WCs

Thanks for the reply... He did not lie on his side. He was swimming around head down for most of the time. At the moment he is starting to swim normal.

Thanks for reply. I have'nt fed my dat sense yesterday afternoon. As of right now I have the tank temp around 84F and doing 25% water changes.

The weird swimming is swim bladder disorder... Just stop feeding for 3 days... And when you start back feeding, just feed once a day!!!
