Since last week, my other ornate has been suffering from bloat. Can't swim upright, and it's belly keeps going up when it does try to turn itself on the proper position. Been treating it as to beblondie's bloat reference: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?222334-Polypterid-health-issues-and-answers-(reference-guide), and it's currently on the 5th day of treatment. I can't say it's been getting better but can't say it's getting worse too. Here's hoping my ornate will get better. Any additional info to help treat is very welcome.

Sorry to hear about that, are you treating the ornate on a different tank? Any heater? If you can get your ornate eat a green pea that would help but tha challenge is really hard on letting them eat it. GL!

Yeah she's in a different container, not exactly a tank though. Yes with the heater. Might as well check with the green pea. Ornate hasn't eaten in over a week.

Only time will tell. Maybe turn off the lights to reduce stress. I'm not sure if salt helps bloat.

Yep no lights in this container. According to the beblondie's poly health issue reference guide, salt aids the fish's osmotic regulation processes.
