Blockhead/buffalohead cichlid

I am planning on getting some from a lfs, they're $25 each and they have about 5 of them. Should I get a male and two females, and is the price alright? Thanks.

I do know they are mostly at the bottom, like to hide, and like fast currents too. Also, the lfs say not to feed it any meat b/c it will get sick and may die as a result.

Unless you can find them online for less money (after shipping and handling I doubt it) Lucky fish is the only LFS to sell them. $25 for a fish you really want is worth it. Go for it!

Yes by all means. If you want it then pay for it. I payed $60 bucks a peice for 5 thinned barred red hook silver dollars. Everyone said I was crazy but I wanted them. Now they are difficult to find. T o me they were worth it. Blockheads are kinda rare in Michigan. So if I liked them I would pay the price.

I just got one from another lfs, unfortunately it had only one left @ $14.99. I think the $24.99 from the other place were more mature so they were more expensive... I'll just have to wait for their next batch to come in, would love to pick up two from the $25 one but might beat up the little guy.
