blood parots and pearsei cichlid

can i put 1 pearsei cichlid and 2 hybrid blood parrots in a 65 gallon tank with over filtration the pearsei cichlid is 7 inches and the 1 blood parrot 9s 3 inches and the other one is 4 inches

for now but that pearsei will outgrow that tank in no time. in my experience with the fish which is a whole 1 month, pearsei hold their own well against aggressive fish.

Agreed, sorry oscaroo it will not work long term.

i will stick to 1 pearsei cichlid and no tank mates thanks for the great advice

I don't think it was the tankmates that they had a problem with when they said it wouldn't work longterm. Pearsei get to be not only very large length-wise but also are very thick fish. I have never had one but I would think that a 90 would be about the minimum long term for one of these. But maybe someone with personal experience will chime in. Good luck.

A 65g is far too small for a pearsei. There are plenty of other stocking options....please give it a second thought.
