Hello every1 this is my first time in this section. I picked this guy up this past weekend at my lfs, i noticed there is no sticky's on them. Anything i should know or do? any positive comments are appreciated :). He is in with a motoro ray about 5-6" and a silver aro which is at around 9". I was told be careful of the aro but actually he has chased the aro once or twice, kinda to just keep the aro away from his "domain". i have a cave ornament in the corner with sum fake plants and he has definitely made that his corner of the tank. I know the aro will grow to be a lot bigger than him but im hoping the aro learns to leave him be while still small. For the motoro, ive been told to be careful of the parrot nipping at her but it actually seems he is scared of the ray. I dont want a fish to be scared its whole life, so if its best to get rid of him i will. This is my first type of chichlid so i dont know if this is normal or scared behavior. When i put a pellet in for him, he scurries to get it then swims fast back into the cave. He even gets like sideways to hide as high up as he can go in the cave. Maybe becuz its still a new home?

Typical behavior for parrots. Very timid and will hide almost uside down or flat. No big deal. he will in time getbused to his new home. Give him a few weeks.

I dont blame him for being a little nervous of the ray. Sounds like typical parrot behavior. Once more comfortable he will come out more i bet. Sinces hes coming out to eat all sounds good.

Ok. Great news! Thanks a lot guys. I figured all is well just figured I'd ask to be positive. Like most fish I figured if he is eating his atleast ok.
