there are eggs all over a shell and a few on a plant leaf and one of the parrots are protecting the eggs, the eggs are yellowish brown but transparent. I have no idea when this happened. I've heard that they are infertile, but why the color then?

Can somebody tell me how to hatch them , please????????????? Or you can just tell me if its been done before at least? (i bought them from petco) and how long it takes the eggs to hatch?????

nice... congrads on eggs

Congrats! If fertile, eggs should hatch within 4-6 days. Cichlids are known for their parental care, so let mother nature take its course. When the fry are free swimming, try seperating them in smaller tanks. Feeding them bbs(baby brine shrimp) and crush flake should get a good number through the first 3-6 weeks. Changing 25% of fry water every 3-5 days is good. Good luck.

There is always an exception to the rule. Let us know if they turn white and fuzzy.
Chances are really slim though.
