Blood Parrot Fish shy???

I had two BP a few years ago, great fish always out. I now have four and they hide all day. I go down in the middle of the night and they are out. Anyone got any tips on making these guys come out? they are in 55 gal and once they get bigger they are going in the 120. The only tankmates they have are a fire eel and small gar ( when they do come out they chill next to him). Advice is greatly appreciated.

I have one and he's always out and he's also a feisty little rascal. he always lives with fish bigger then him and always seems to manage to be a dominant tankmate, amongst others. Short of removing objects for your's to hide in or behind, I don't think there is anything you can do.

mines pretty shy to im thinking about moving him into a heavily planted tank that might work?

I had a similar problem with my B.Ps so I added a Firemouth, and a female Con as target fish, and My B.Ps are out all the time now.

Put some hideouts in tank and residue the light rays or even u can change the place of tank and see the difference..
