I have 3 white what I thought were jellybean blood parrots. They are still quite small and when you look at them at the right angle you can see a glimpse of yellowish orange to them mainly on their fins.
I was at my LFS yesterday where I had purchased them and overheard the employee telling a customer that there is no jellybean version and the ones identical to the ones I currently have are just the baby version of the larger ones that are usually orange. Now I thought that the jellybeans which I thought were a cross between a parrot and pink convict were usually a pinkish white and don't grow much larger than 4-5 inches. I have looked up alot of info on them and more times than not I have read the white ones are the jellybean version. But now it's got me wondering for sure. The LFS lady also said that the white "babies" like the ones I have will turn orange as they grow. Which I also looked up and did find a few times that some sites actually say this to be true. I don't really mind either way I would just like some thoughts on this.
Does anyone really know?
