Just curious if this would work, LFS said it would but always good to double check since I don't know 100% how knowledgeable they are. If it would work what size tank would you say for one of each?

I have a 6" oscar and a 4" blood parrot in a 75 running two filters and have no problems as far as aggression. Wish I had a larger tank though. If u can do a 90+ gallon....I'd definitely recommend it. A tank at least 4 foot in length and 18" in width. I don't think height is as important as the other two.

Tank size? Somewhere between 80 and 120 gallons is a good ballpark.
Weekly water changes would obviously be necessary and light feeding will help a lot. The more filtration the merrier.
No cheap common plecos. One common will outgrow a 150 gallon tank in 5 years.
