1 of my juve blood parrots turned completely black several days ago and the black has slowly been disappearing showing a peachy silvery color and its flower line is gone. is it peeling(i think thats the correct term)?

Thanks nickbachman

I* think its when it changes to its full colors. So if you have a juvenile and its peeling its getting its color (I think)

spot on.. they peel and get there end colours.. completely normal, a few types of fish do this..

Hi, also new to BP's. I have a large one and a pretty small one. The large one is orange, the smaller black. But I noticed that the smaller one is going through some color variations over the last few days. He'll keep his usual black, with darker markings on the sides, then he'll fade to a grayish, where you can almost see a hint of orange beneath.

Is this what you guys are talking about? And, at what age do they start to change?
