I recently moved a few fish into a new home a 150G tall all glass aquarium. I have sandbox sand as substrate and a few clay pots in it. to cycle it I took 1 of the foams and one of the biomax out og an AC 110 and moved them into the new AC 110 its just temporary until I get the DIY filter all figured out and built. I cycled it with a dozen cons and within a couple weeks I had fry. I have since moved the cons into a seperate tank and moved my bigger fish into the 150. I have 3 blood parrots who have spent the last 3 years together as well as 2 sharks a couple JD's and a Pleco in the tank. they have all grown up together. This AM when I was feeding them I noticed my big blood parrot had dug away the sand around one of the large clay pots and was guarding it. also one of the other blood parrots was kinda guarding it as well. looking closer I noticed the eggs and it surprised me. I have had these fish for quite some time and this is the first time they spawned. I was planning for it thats for sure. any help on preserving them is greatly appreciated as I am new to this and wasn't planning on it.
Hes right basically all parrot males are infertile.
