Everytime I put this parrot in a tank near the window it turns pale and everytime I put him back on my other tank it becomes red again tank is 60 GL with an XP4 filter and with UV light water parameters???
Does the tank get direct sunlight near the window? What are the water parameters of that tank? Why do you keep moving him? Warm temperature depletes oxygen therefore you need surface agitation. The tank should not be located near direct sunlight anyway. Your temperature is too warm for the blood parrots.
If you have lighter gravel they will turn pale in it. I use to have mine in a tank with white gravel and it turned all pale because of it. Also when you move it, its going to get stressed and turn pal for a little
i keep my tank at 78/80 F the bloodparrots colour really comes out in cooler water....he goes very deep orange/pink colour and gets black markings on his tail i'm sure its because of the tank temp
