Blood parrot with black tail

Is it permanent? My gf saw and fell in love. Me I dislike them. The lfs said its permanent.

Might be because of stress but its possible it never finished fading making it permanent. I was also tattooed which is sad.

Ugh... It's tattooed. Poor little guy. I would no longer give that lfs your business.. Tattooing and dyeing fish is very cruel. I'm thinking the tail will fade and the fish will heal back to it's normal orange self based on the pictures. Normally all the black will fade but not always. Go to a petsmart and buy a normal undyed orange one instead.. It's not the fishes fault but I still would not support that business and I would tell them why. Tattooed fish are more prone to disease as they are trying to heal.

Well you don't have to go to that extreme but if you buy that tattooed fish they're just going to replace it with more tattooed fish.. I would buy her a nice one somewhere else. I had a dyed BP given to me as a gift because a lfs was closing down 5 years ago (she was blue) and I still have her.

My gf has a crazy obsession with them. We once bought some jelly bean one too. But I really dislike them. But it makes her happy. She has 10 blood parrot.

Yes all of the dyed ones eventually turn orange again. Tattooed ones however I have no idea.
