I have 2month old offspring from my blood parrot x carpinits and i wanted to see some of the various offspring and various red texas that came from some of you guys first generation of blood parrot x texas cross. Repeat: first generation of blood parrot x carpintis/texas pics not offspring that have been line bred a couple generations. I cant wait to see some of the results from this pairing because the results vary so much.

Lets see the pics, thanks in advance.

Nice, hopefully a couple of them turn out nicely. I'm about to do the same breeding project between a male Green Texas, and a female Blood Red Parrot cichlid. I used to know a couple that accidentally did this pairing, and I picked up 2 of the babies who came out really nice. They had no clue what they had on their hands in regards to the fry lol, so they were just getting rid of the babies for free. The two I picked up came out with a bright orange/red to them, but they eventually died......

From my studies of how to get some "Red Texas cichlids" that in the first batch of fry you end up with 2-4 good looking ones out of the bunch, and the more the parenting fish breed that each time you end up with a higher percentage of the fry coming out with better coloration.
