Hello all. I have been keeping my blood parrots for a few months now. They eat a lot and are very healthy.
When I bought them from LFS, they all had same color, red orange. After a while, some turned light pink while some turned orange and some stay the same. I believe that is due to genes so that's really not a big thing; however, some of them develop black fins. I don't think this is from genes.
From what I have observed, those fish that had fin damages and regrown will have dark fin. Is this true? Will they ever turn back to original color of blood parrot?
I am feeding them Hikari Blood Parrot food and Hikari Gold Plus. Some frozen market ghost shrimp as treat.
Thank you.

Black spots in parrots are a sign of stress. Remove stress situation. . . . black goes away
