Blood Parrots?

Wrong section to ask about BP's should have posted it in the Hybrid section for better more knowledgeable responses. Luckily though you got Chris already answering who as far as I know is the resident BP expert.

As Chris was asking tank size of course plays an important role in aggression and determining compatibility. I will say in my experience BP's are on the aggressive side and despite not being able to close their mouths still fray fins. More times than not though they intimidate more than anything else. I don't know if I'd trust my BP with an Angel as I've always been under the impression they can be fragile and slow moving, but in an appropriate sized tank the BP should be alright with an Uaru in most cases after all fish are individuals. My large BP has been alright with catfish ignoring them except a 8 inch Royal Watermelon Pleco who the BP harasses to no end. Gonna throw some pics out there as I'm proud of my BP and my recent Red Mammon(SKKP) pick up.

Changed my mind and got 3. They would be ok in your tank if you have the room. They eat and poop like goldfish without
being loveable like a goldfish. I'll find them a new home.

At least should should do fine. They can get picky with other Parrots especially when they are younger but in that size a tank it should be fine. I haven't kept them with Angels before but I know a few who have successfully and I wouldn't worry about the other fish. Occasionally you will get little buttheads they just don't want to play well with others but I find its more common to find ones that aren't like that. King Kong Parrots will be more aggressive than your standard Blood Parrot so I would avoid those. Personally I would pick out the most responsive one in the tank and just get that one rather than two or more and chance a breeding pair which might cause problems.

Take a look at this as well http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...d-Parrots-King-Kong-Parrots-and-Kirin-Parrots

My girlfriend bought 2 blood parrots for our community 75 gal. 2 bps killed 5 angels in a weekend. There was no scars or ripped fins, seems they just pinned the angels against the glass and stressed them to death. So I had to buy a 20 gal that weekend for 2 bps and 2 gold gouramis. Your tank is bigger than mine tho. You have a better chance.

On the contrary, Blood Parrots are more responsive and better pets than Goldfish by a long shot once they settle in their tanks. They can be very shy but once they warm up to their surroundings and you they make awesome pets.

I have a soft spot for Blood Parrots. They can be kept with quiet a variety. Mine had been kept with everything from small angels to monsterous bichirs and delicate stem plants.

I think if you can judge the personality of your parrot they should be fine in almost any situation. They can be feisty and haughty, but they also seem to stop being as hyper when the rest of the fish know where they stand in comparison.

+1. Strange looking little hybrids, but awesome pets in general.
