This isnt the first time. These fish are infertile but they keep trying. Has anyone here had blood parrots spawn successfully? Most of the info I've found says they can't because they're hybrids.

Reading MFKs info on bloods.. I see, it's the male's fault they're failing. He's firing blanks.

I've read somewhere that the males aren't always infertile, they just have a very high chance of being infertile.
Also nice swords

In rare cases they can be fertile (like ginnies have the reputation of being infertile, but 2 percent or so are actually fertile and can be bred back to horses).

So are these gonna go with your oscars in the pond?

No they're some mean sh!+s. The 3 amigos of @$$holery. They cause trouble any time I put them with bigger fish. I've tried to adopt them out a couple of times but people keep bringing tthem back so I quit trying. I'm just stuck with em.

I cant keep swords or any other heavy root feeder because I don't dose ferts or co2 and I have a rather low bioload :/.

Have you ever considered putting those parrots with something like a breeding pair of convicts? I'm sure they'll get knocked around a bit....

They are in the junk tank. Not that much effort spared for them. They dont bother gnarly angel or the barbs in there so it works for now
