my angelfish are not eating their flake food all they will take are bloodworms is it a bad thing to give bloodworms as their staple diet?

I think blood worms are great for fish. I give my angels frozen blood worms two to three times a week as a treat and they love them, although they still eat their flakes too. I do think they should eat flake food as well as blood worms to stay healthy though. I would stop the blood worm feeding for the time being and only offer flake food for a while. When they get hungry enough they will eat. I think they are just spoiled now. Maybe try a different brand of tropical flake for now too.
dorrd is right. your fish are spoiled. bloodworms are great, but not as the only food. try fasting them for at least 24 hours, then feed the flakes. you might want to try a different brand. my discus will not eat any flake food except prime reef. you might also try Sera's discus granules.
