We've got a new vampire tetra (Hydrolicus scomberoides spp.) It has red fins. Has anyone ever seen these before? Got pictures?

I do not know if this is true or not but a very knowledgeable guy at my lfs told me that the red finned ones die much easier then the black finned ones.
