Hi All,

Ive recently got problems with my Disucs. Apparently my Discus stomach are blotted and can pass motion. Ive lost 5 Discus to this problems. I read that epsom salt are suppose to cure this problem. However, there are no epsom salt sold by shops here. Is there any alternative?. Also can anyone please tell me why this happens.

Thanks.

What foods have been using? How big are your discus? Water parameters? Tank setup and tankmates?

Ive been feeding them bloodworm as that is all they ever eat. The only tank mates are two suker fish. There are 15 discus in the tank all of which as a size of about 4 inches. Water paramenters are stable with low nitrate levels.

Bloodworms contain very high protein content and proteins are not exactly easily digested so please limit it to weekly only. Try to use mosquito larva, chopped earthworms, market shrimps, New Life Spectrum and many other foods. Do you have pics of your suckers? Fast your discus for a few days.
