how do you guys tell if a fish is fertile by its eyes.. please tell me this trick. any detail you can give will be helpful
and what are you looking for in its eyes to show thats it infertile.

photo comparisons and details are always helpful ,yaknow

Red eyes = Usually always fertile, Yellow eyes, higher chance of fertility than white eyes. White eyes, very low chance of fertility.

so bright yellow is a half and half chance? water you where actualy the person i wanted to hear from cuz you always seem to get into the fertility threads here so does the puple have anything to do with the fertility cuz i am about to get a bp texas and it has bright yellow eyes with a perfectly circular pupel

this is exactly what it looks like eye color and all but this isnt my pic or fish FYI

Texas are different from flowerhorn, most texas have yellow eyes. The eye color thing only really works in flowerhorn. Nice looking fish too.

+1

so is the yellow eyes on texas meen he is fertile

not really every male texas hybrid I have created or purchased has been sterile ie. tex x parrot, tex x flowerhorn and tex x red devil x flowerhorn. I dont know why but so far its been that way even bred them all mulitple times each and every time they shot blanks.

hahahahahh ahaha shot blanks lol hilarious man but really ima have to try him out with a female pink con

Eye color isn't a good indicator of fertility in itself. Your Shortbody Texas may be, it may not be fertile. It is not a hybrid. It is just line bred. So after countless in-breeding can cause fish to become sterile. Try breeding him, I think he is fertile though.
