Currently I only own 2 (I am legend & the latest harry potter film) for the reason I thought only new films would greatly benefit greatly from blu ray (coupled with their price). Turns out I was wrong and it is to do with the quality of the transfers (bladerunner fantastic, Terminator poor), so there is no reason why old films aren't up to todays standards.

So, which are must buys, which are poor?

Cheers

Davo,

You need to check this site out:

Thanks Jed, I have been looking through that, although found it annoying that some reviews would be given 3 stars, when everything was 4+ except the extras so I'd have to view each individually just so I could find out about the sound and video and quality... most older films I like I already have on dvd so I know what I'd watch again in terms of opinion of the films.

Looking forward to Coppola's Godfather restoration, I will pre-order that along with casino royales new edition.

Thanks for suggestions Onion and HCR. Any other titles that are particularly awesome? Anyone know when the dark knight is on blu ray?
