i have 3 convicts 1 about 3/4" and 2 about 1/2" i want to get a blue acara but it is about 2" should i wait till the convicts get older?

That depends on how big your tank is and what kind of and how many hiding places there are. In a 75 gal or larger, you should have no problems. In a 10 gal you will likely have all kinds of problems. Blue acaras are beautiful, good luck if you decide to get one.
