I'm thinking of tinkering with my stock in two different tanks and rehoming all Tetras. I'm kinda over them.. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Tank 1 is 75G (48" x 18" x 21") w/ a young (~3") Blue Acara Harem (MFF), 8 Brochis Splenden and 2 L260 Pleco.. I rehomed 8 Colombian Tetras but now the tank looks bare w/ the Pleco's hiding all day and the Acara kinda skittish unless they see pellets in the tank... I was thinking of maybe some green sailfin mollies, but can only source pairs and would prefer a trio or quartet.. Still not sure I want to go this route as I think I'm tiring of the whole dither concept... I also thought about getting some WC Flagtail Porthole Catfish (Dianema urostriatum) but read on planetcatfish they need an acclimation period in 6-6.5 pH water.. My tanks are 7 - 7.2pH. A final and most desirable, but prolly riskiest option would be to add another cichlid or cichlids. Pairs (if possible) I'm thinking about include Herotilapia multispinosus (CA) (2-3"), Cribroheros longimanus (CA) (2-2.5"), Geophagus steindachneri (3-3.5") or Heros liberifer (3-4”). Could any of these options work?

Tank 2 is a 240G (72”x24”x30”) w/ 6 young GTs (2-2.5") (2M4F), 2 Green Phantoms, 8 T. argenteus, 5 Colombian Tetras and 1 PTC. I already rehomed 10 Colombian before giving up this past weekend. I'm going to try to catch the remaining 5 (if I can) and think I'm leaning towards rehoming the T. argenteus as well (at least 4 of them if not all). They're cool fish, good schoolers and pretty interactive for tetras, but I'm done with their feeding frenzy not knowing if any food is getting to the GTs.. I have no idea what could work w/ a GT colony, but figured I'd better try now while they're still juvies.. I'm thinking a pair of Heros liberifer (3-4”) or Heros severus ‘curare’ (2.75–3.75″) or 1 of the following (unless it's possible to add a pair): Hypselecara temporalis (Searching for 2"+ but Hypselecara coryphaenoides 3-4" available) , Wild Oscar (2") or Mesoheros gephyrus (2–2.5" or 3.5-4").

Would appreciate any feedback, advice or experience w/ any of these fish.. If none of these cichlid options work I fear I may have to buy another tank... This addiction is real ?

p.s. if anyone is local in MD or DC / B'more metro and want a healthy, active school of 8 T. argenteus HMU...
