Hey guys, today I discovered that my blue acara and my electric blue acara have paired up and laid eggs. Just wondering if this has happened for anyone else and how the fry will turn out. Thanks
They will all be normal looking blue acara but they will carry the recessive EB gene. Spawning those fry together will give you a percentage of normal fry and a percentage of EB fry.

not a hybrid, just normal Blue Acaras....."Electric Blue" is simply a breeder's morph of Andinoacara pulcher, not a different species or sub-species, as is EB German Rams, and Jack Dempseys.
You have to ignore Rift Lake species when talking about SA/CA "Electric Blue" cichlids, the Rift Lake species can mean any of several referred to as "Electric Blue" and they are indeed different species, but commonly called "Electric Blue" as an English/Common name.
