blue acara or green terror

pet shop said it was a blue acara but i cant tell if it is or a green terror its around 2.5-3 inches

Looks like an acara to me.

looks like a green terror to me. it can be hard to tell them apart at such a young age but i can see a hint of orange in the tail. From what i have been told the acara dont have the orange in the tail however they do have it in the dorsal fin. to me it a green terror also known as a gold saum

Not sure about that. Some do seem to have a thin orange edge.

i seen that same pic on another website where the guy said it was a cross between a gt and ba. that he had ordered it from somewhere and later found out that it was a cross. i will try to find the site and post it. it was a while ago when i read it. Even so comparing it to the first pic. the fins look differant. the dorsal fin on the first pic extend over the tail fin. i understand that it is still young but the color patteren are differant. i still believe its a gold saum (green terror) in the first pic.

i dont trust the pic when you seach on google or yahoo. half the pics that say they are blue acara are really green terrors

from what i read The BA have more metallic blue scales on the body and head. There should be several dark bars vertically across the pale grey body.

GT are more elongated with a dark spot at the midsection with a more greenish color of scales. GT also have a more rounded fan-shaped caudal fin than a BA.
