At my LFS there is a fish that came in as blue acara but is being sold as green terror, and I wanted to know what's the easiest way to distinguish the two before they sell it to someone as the wrong fish... I'm not allowed to take pictures, I already tried

forgot to mention they're only like 2 or 3 inch.. if that... (I can tell the difference when full grown, but finding it difficult at this young age)

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I think an easy way to tell is: that a blue acara wouldn't have an orange strip on its caudal fin, where as a green terror would. Although I'm not sure if that shows on a green terror of that maturity.

i have seen BA with the orange strip, though im not sure if they were pure or breeded with GTs...lol I know when they are both young it can be very hard to tell them apart :(
