Blue acara small spec (not ich)

Got a new blue acara 2 days ago, today I noticed a small growth (the white spec on her side) I know it's not ich or anything, but I'm curious if a fungal treatment might help, or if just cranking the heat would be better along with water changes and maybe some salt. I'm posting it here because I'd like to know if anyone has experience with treating blue acaras with medicine compared to salt/heat. I want to do what's best for the fish and I'm not sure if meds with hurt it or not since its so small (just over an inch)

After looking over all my fish I noticed the same thing on my 13" jag, it looks like a single grain if sand is stuck to him. Not ich, I know that.. I bumped the heat and I'm gonna treat him, since I'm pretty positive he won't die. Hopefully it goes away. He's acting completely normal
