Blue acara Vs. Green terror

Sells better?

Thats going to depend on several different factors. Are you talking of trying to breed?

Both fish are part of the Aequidens/Andinoacara family of South Americans. BUT both have a much different behavior and attitude. As far as Green terror are you talking about andinoacara rivulatus? Or andinoacara stalsbergi? WHile they are both Green terror they are different and one is much more less common. Blue Acara's are a much better community fish with a mellower attitude while GT's can be sometimes but can also be more aggressive at least when dealing with Rivulatus "Saum" Green terror. Im willing to be more people have and buy Green terror, but I could be wrong.

in the store I work in, blue acara go fast as green terrors grow bigger and need a larger tank whereas, blue acara can deal with smaller tanks

Hi im new to the forums!!!
I was wondering what you guys all think which one sells better or more of Blue Acaras or Green Terrors

Both tend to run about the same price here in FL. But I can tell you that many people are attracted to the green terror more (and often have to get rid of them). From a sales standpoint, I would say the GT is the way to go. From a responsible, ethical standpoint, I say go with the blue acara. The acara is my favorite of the two anyways.

You must actually inform your customers of the differences between them. Most stores I have been to want to just say, "yeah, that will work just fine. No problems!"

yeah, when I make a sale, I make a point to highlight size, tank requirements and potential pros and cons of having this species with certain other fish.
