How long does it take for a blue acara to get its full grown size? Mine is only 4" and hasn't grown any more.:( And i have had him for a year now.

Tank 30 gallon long

Somewhere between 6-8". Alot of factors govern how fast they grow and what their max size will be . Frequency of waterchanges , diet , frequency of feedings , the size tank they're in , crowding of the tank , ect. Acaras can be slow growers , but yours should be larger than 4" . can you give us some specifics on the above factors? Might help narrow down the cause .
