i was wondering how big these actually get ive looked up sizes but these sites keep giving me different sizes anyone who knows please let me know i havea 40g long and i have 6 tiger barbs anda pleco 3 convicts (all about 3/4") and i want to add 1 blue acara wat u think?

once a pair forms with your cons. they will purty much take that tank for themselves. as for the blue acara, i've seen 6-7inch males before, females i've seen are 4-6inches. if you like the acaras then why not try to get a pair of them, and move the cons out?
i had a blue acara that was almost 5 inches when it died, and I agree with fishfreak that when the cons pair up the acara will not want to be in that tank.
First what's the sex of all the convicts? Are they male/female mix? If so, these guy are right, the cons WILL pair up soon. If you want an acara, you could keep one acara and one convict with your dithers. Or possibly an acara and 2 female convicts (they don't get very big).
