i had one years ago, very beautiful often overlooked fish... great personalitys aswell.

First Acara I've owned, and he seems very mellow but inquisitive as well. The colours tend to come out under better lighting, current tank is darker to avoid stress and stuff before introducing.

Two dither fish in with him and he doesnt bother with them at all, so it'll be good to get him in the community tank

I managed to obtain six wild caught young about 6 months ago. It turned out to be three pairs. They started breeding when they were 2 1/2 - 3". A beautiful fish!!
