blue base???

I saw a fish like that today and it was labled as a super red. It was insane, it looked like it hand been painted with metalic paint.

It's common for reds at this age to display colouration like this. With the right fish in it's right age and using the right setting in picture taking, you can achieve and enhance this kinda effect.

One of my small SR also looks like that. But i think the blue shine will go away when hes getting bigger

Those are mid size Diablo Reds. Some reds will develop fuller thicker frame of redness as they grows and the bluish core will become lesser. But those with thin frame will still have alot of those bluish base showing.
