Anyone have experience with mixing blue botia with clown loach.A lfs in my area has about 5 i was thinking about picking them up.

My experience with blue botias is that they are quite aggressive and eager to use their eyeblades when competing for food. They can do a lot of damage to other fish in a feeding scrum. apart from that they seem to get along with most fish unless they decide to move in to another fishes hiding place.

I have 3 blue botias, 7 CL and 4 yoyos all 4-6". They have all been together for 8-9 months with no problems. Currently they are all sharing a 55g, while I am remodeling a 150g tank.

They get territorial when they are larger.

Most likely it won't. Not worth mixing at all. Why not just stick with other loach species? Yasuhikotakia modesta are pretty common and there are plenty others which are more suitable than them.
