Here are some pics of my Blue Botias, got them back in April at 2-2.5" they are now close to 4".

Awesome modestas. Don't they fight?

No they are actually a pretty tight group. The yo yos that are with them sometimes get a little crazy, but the blues seem to just ignore them. I have read that they do get on the fisty side but my trio has yet to show it, could be they are still too small.

My blue botai's grew two inches in a few months, but after reaching 5" have all but stopped growing. I've heard they get quite large in the wild. I'd love to see some pictures if anyone has any monster botai's.

It always seems as though Botias are up to no good, maybe it is just that inquisitive I see you from under this log thing they do.

i bought mine at 1.5" but had to trough it out in the pond when the convicts started breeding. we threw the cons in the pond shortly after and replaced them with african cichlids. my wife decided to bring the modesta back in. i tossed a minnow trap out for a few hours and caught it. 6 weeks in the pond made it close to 4 inches, he was fat as hell when we caught him

The three of them are in a 120gallon tank.
