Hello, I have a 2.5 inch blue carpentis in my 180 gallon tank right now that I just noticed has white stringy poop, as far as I know still eating and swimming around like usual but wondering if anyone can help? I’m thinking the start of a parasite?

This doesn’t always mean the fish has a parasite. Sometimes it’s related to stress or diet. If the Carpintis is eating well I wouldn’t be too worried. If you are feeding a new food this can sometimes happen. Have you added something new to his or her diet?? Is the Carpintis a new arrival to your tank??

I haven’t changed the food but I have added blood worms to the diet somewhat recently also he’s new to the 150 and the smallest fish in the tank

The white poop is Probably stress related especially if he’s the smallest fish in the tank he was just introduced to.

Take out the bloodworms and monitor. Get some metroplex or medicated food with metronidazole in it just in case.
