has any one raised a blue catfish? how about have you ever seen one in captivity? what are they like?

blues get MASSIVE! not recommended for tanks unles you are growing it out, then you will need a pond.
they will heat anything that fits in there mouth, chicken, shrimp, worms, ect..... are all ok to feed for now, try to get it on large pond fish pellets. it would also be good to feed live food, as thats what they eat in the wild.

By blue catfish do you mean Cetopsis coecutiens?

no i think the name is Ictalurus furcatus
any idea of the growth rate on these guys? or avaliblity? everyone has channel cats, and i have seen very large flatheads catfish. do you know if anyone has had these fish in captivity?
