Hi all i have 2 blue crayfish in a 60g on they own for over 6 month, both been doing well both have shed a couple of times . My Q. is one of them is acting a little odd he sits there with his tale tucked under is body is that normal and last night he was tilting to one side ,

i'm assuming ur talking about "blue lobsters" as they are commonly sold...give more info on ur tank...water paramaters, filtration etc. not too sound like and dick, and even tho i have kept a couple of them im far from an expert...but you have had enough post where I would think you have seen many of the help threads all starting with the same reply....water params., tank mates, tank size, filtration, what are u feeding them type of thing...i thought i would get it out of the way in a gentler tone

I have said tank 60g and they on there own water

a difference to crayfish and lobsters mine are blue crayfish
as for diet prawn , musle , fish , pellet ,

Are you able to sex the crays? Photos would help. Your cray may be reaching sexual maturity and may be grooming itself for laying of eggs. There is a very sticky substance (called glair) that the female cray excretes to hold the eggs into her swimmeretts. If this is the case than you should make sure that you have plenty of areas for the cray to hide in and conceal itself.

BTW-You should avoid feeding prawns to your crays as it may infect them with a virus.

Thanks for that bubbles2112 very helpfull . The cray is grooming its underside when i watched tonight . I have tried to sex them and think i have 2 females ,as for prawns i will stop feeding them .

Most likely grooming.
