My LFS just got some blue crayfish in. I've allways wanted one, I have a 125 gallon tank with 7 angel fish, 8 clown loaches, and 7 serpae tetras. The tank does not have a lid. Could i get away with one of these small crayfish? I know they escape, I plan on getting a lid anyway, but will they harm my fish at all? I'm mostly concerned about the clown loaches.

He might and he might not. lol

Every cray is different. Before I got my first one, everyone warned me he would eat anything he could get his claws on. I had no problem with him for ages, then all of a sudden he went through a crazy "lets eat every fish in sight" stage. He hasn't eaten a fish since then. *shrugs*

I have 2 in my 120gallon with corys and botias and angels and parrots and they don't bother anyone or anything else in the tank at all.

You will 100% need a tight lid...these suckers have spiderman powers when it comes to climbing walls, I swear.

One way to lessen the likelyhood of them trying to eat your fish is to hand-feed them. I stuff a shrimp pellet, algae wafer or piece of shrimp in front of mine daily. If they are well fed and don't have to fend for their food, they are more likely to leave the residents be.

They are great escapists so a lid is necessary if you want the crayfish longer than a few hours/days. I'd think the Clown Loaches would bother it. I don't think one could survive past a molt unless you have TONS of hiding spaces.
